Hosts are open to other people’s opinions, their way of doing things and their perspectives. They enjoy others for who they are.
“
If you judge people, you have no time to love them.— Mother Teresa
Hosts find that they are open to other people’s opinions, way of doing and perspectives on faith and life. They realise that these different views can inform and deepen their own insights. They make an effort to see themselves and what they believe through the eyes of other people. Hosts accept that their point of view may differ from other people’s understanding.
Hosts spend less time on self-reflection. They have a sense of the importance of other people and relationships for their own growth. Hosts are open to experiencing support and guidance from people who may radically differ from them.
Hosts live with open arms, embracing a wide range of people. They are comfortable in different settings because they do not require people to conform to a specific set of norms before they are invited to the ‘table’.
Hosts may form different friendship groups in and around their community. Such groups may become spaces in which to play, pray, laugh, discuss and just be with each other. If the groups are formed around learning material, it would help if they are simply discussion starters and not used to lay down hard guidelines for ‘teaching’.
Nurture and explore your faith. Make sense of how you believe, who you are and why you do things the way you do.
