Evangelists spread eternal truths by the way they live and by what they say.
“
Nature teaches us that every believer should be a soul-winner. It is an essential part of the new nature. We see it in every child who loves to tell of his happiness and to bring others to share his joys.— Andrew Murray
Evangelists know that one’s witness depends on how you live and what you say. You should live and speak as you are supposed to. They feel strongly about the fact that the message they are proclaiming should not be changed in any way.
Evangelists have the ability to see things from someone else’s perspective. They can imagine what others think about them and their faith. Working from this basis, they witness by sharing eternal truths.
Evangelists feel called to the ‘great commission’. This includes sharing their faith and converting non-believers to the Christian faith. Evangelists often seek out spaces where they can invite people to their faith community, conduct services elsewhere than in church (such as jails) or even ‘preach’ to strangers they meet. Evangelists should be well versed in doctrines of faith and the ethics of faith. Evangelists could consider doing basic courses on the articles of faith and biblical ethics.
Nurture and explore your faith. Make sense of how you believe, who you are and why you do things the way you do.
