Companions reach over social bounds and relate without airs because they sense their community extends universally.
“
We may note in passing that He was never regarded as a mere moral teacher. He did not produce that effect on any of the people who actually met Him. He produced mainly three results-Hatred-Terror-Adoration. There was no trace of people expressing mild admiration.— C.S. Lewis
Companions, when involved with the rituals of their religious community, participate by experiencing them. Their being in community is almost more important than what actually happens in the time together. They sense connection more than they feel or create it. They have a direct primal sharing of being with others.
Companions have the ability to relate to anyone at any stage in their life and from any faith. They are able to relate without condescension. They are at the same time able to challenge the assumptions that others might have. Their being is confrontational enough for others to rethink what they deeply hold as true.
They know themselves to be part of an inclusive and fulfilled human community. Their community extends universally. They experience no social bounds. They include without explaining why.
Companions live lives of totally selfless love, uncompromised by concerns for personal status, comfort or security. They give themselves unconditionally for the good of the larger humanity. They accept a ‘forgetfulness-of-being.’
Nurture and explore your faith. Make sense of how you believe, who you are and why you do things the way you do.
